On Wednesday, March 13, 22 MBCA Sandhills members from the Triangle Section got together for dinner and fellowship at Ashten’s in Southern Pines. The business purpose was to identify activities and events that our members local to the Sandhills would enjoy.
We collectively developed activities that included social events, technical sessions, destination drives and car shows. In all, we have twelve events that we will be working on for our Sandhills members. Our events will not conflict with the Section events and, once developed, our events will be open to all Section members if they would like to join us.
The “Jewel in the Crown” is the Sandhills Motoring Festival in May 24th, 25th, and 26th. We also will be investigating day trips to Wilmington and Old Salem and possibly an overnight trip to see the Fall Foliage in western North Carolina.
With both Section events and Sandhills events we will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy our Mercedes-Benzes and our good friends in the MBCA. For more information please contact Tom Reedy at wreedy1@nc.rr.com.
